I sell payments.I build with AI.

Payment Consultant at Global Payments, helping UK small businesses take card payments. Seven years in sales and operations, from leading 100+ people at Amazon to running a telesales team. Outside work, I build with AI and share what I learn.

Sales first, with AI built in.

My whole career has been in roles where results are counted every day. These are the three things I bring.

Sales

Consultative selling to UK businesses: understanding how each one works, then recommending, closing and onboarding the right solution.

  • Top salesperson every month as a rep
  • Doubled team sales at peak as a manager
  • Card terminals, online payments, payment links

Leading teams

From 100+ associates at an Amazon fulfilment centre to a telesales and retention team I built myself.

  • Coaching cadences and KPIs
  • Built a retention department from scratch
  • Developed four associates into team leaders

Building with AI

I build working tools with AI outside work, so I know what it does well, where it fails and how to use it safely.

  • 8 web apps, 4 of them live
  • 25 scheduled AI automations with approval steps
  • Payments, bookings, email and databases

Things I've built to solve real problems.

Built with AI alongside a full-time job. Each one started with a problem I could see from the inside.

Deal Pricer and CRM

A private CRM and live deal pricer I use every day in my sales role.

Problem
Pricing deals live on calls, then tracking every deal from signing to live.
Build
Live pricing, deal milestones, template follow-ups, duplicate-safe saves, backups and a full audit log.
Detail
Anonymised records with no customer contact details. Pricing is calculated in code, not by AI, so every figure is traceable.
TypeScript, React, SQL, Cloudflare
Illustrative activity, sample data

CardsMachines

A merchant education and enquiry platform for UK small businesses.

Problem
Card fees are confusing, and small businesses struggle to compare options fairly.
Build
A 60-page site with sector guides, a cost calculator, a five-step quote journey and card statement analysis. 58 versions, 42 automated tests.
Result
5,156 Google search impressions in its first seven weeks, with niche guides ranking on page one.
TypeScript, Cloudflare Workers, SQL, GA4, Clarity

Payment Sales

A careers platform for people moving into payments sales.

Problem
My videos kept bringing questions from people trying to break into payments sales.
Build
Guides, Stripe payments, Cal.com bookings, automated email and a weekly refresh of UK payments jobs.
Result
One recruitment video drew 30+ enquiries. I screened the candidates and referred 30.

How a payment is recorded exactly once

Goals Stats

A stats app for a weekly seven-a-side football group.

Problem
The group wanted proper records of results, scorers, votes and form.
Build
PIN sign-in, an organiser workflow, Player of the Match voting with tie-break rules, and player cards that update themselves.
Result
Used weekly by 20 players within its first three weeks.
TypeScript, React, SQL, photo storage
Seven-a-side, every week

Aesthetics

A private, mobile-first training app I built for my own gym sessions.

Problem
Judging progress fairly: comparing like with like on reps, effort, rest and exercise order, not just heavier numbers.
Build
A rotating A/B/C/D programme, set logging with load, reps and effort, a rest timer that survives a refresh, exercise swaps, and offline use as a phone app.
Rules
Progression follows clear, testable rules, not AI guesses. Changes are small, logged and reversible, and every figure is rebuilt from the full training history.
Result
36 automated tests, and a full replay of my logged history rebuilt every session and set exactly.
TypeScript, React, Cloudflare D1, offline-first web app
Rest timer and A/B/C/D programme rotation

Automation layer

Scheduled AI tasks that handle my daily briefing, job research and reporting.

Scale
25 scheduled automations, 10 currently live.
Includes
A daily intelligence briefing, a weekly UK jobs refresh and a reporting sync.
Rules
One owner per task, human approval before anything is sent, and every fact labelled reported or verified.
Why
AI is only useful when a person stays accountable for what it sends.
Scheduled AI tasks and agents
25 automations, 10 live, nothing sent without approval

Seven years in places where every result is measured.

I've run teams in an Amazon fulfilment centre, a foreign-exchange cash centre and a telesales operation, and I now sell payment services to UK small businesses. In each one, every process shows up in the numbers by the end of the day.

That's why I care about AI that actually gets used. I know how operations run, why people resist change and what makes a new tool stick. I build the tools myself, so I know what AI can and can't do.

How I think about AI at work.

Adoption is a people problem.

Fear, trust and habit decide whether AI gets used. Many people worry it could replace them, so I start there, with honesty and quick wins they can feel.

Safe before fast.

Approved tools, simple data rules and human approval for anything consequential. When people hide their AI use, company data ends up in tools nobody has checked.

Measure outcomes, not activity.

Time saved only counts when the work itself changes. I define the outcome first, then track whether it moves.

Build it to understand it.

I build working tools, so my advice comes from knowing what AI does well, where it fails and what it costs.
